Forster, Tuncurry and the shared 2428
Forster and Tuncurry face each other across the entrance to Wallis Lake and have been joined by a bridge since 1959. Both use 2428, as do Green Point, Pacific Palms, Smiths Lake and Coomba Park, so name the locality. Watch the spelling as well, because Foster in Victoria's South Gippsland is a different town on postcode 3960.
Both towns are in the MidCoast Council area, which is administered from Taree, so council correspondence and a gift address will not always match. Forster Private Hospital is at 5A South Street in Forster, so a get-well or thank-you gift may be headed to the staff there rather than to a house.
