About Our Liquor Licence

Hampers With Bite holds a Victorian liquor licence (Licence Number 36303074) that allows us to supply gift hampers containing wine, beer, spirits and other alcohol, and to dispatch them across Australia. Because we are a licensed retailer, the sale and delivery of any alcohol in our hampers is governed by the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 and the responsible service of alcohol.

Responsible Service and Age Verification

It is against the law to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18. Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offence to supply alcohol to a minor, with penalties exceeding $17,000, and an offence for a person under 18 to purchase or receive liquor, with penalties exceeding $700. For this reason, hampers that contain alcohol may require proof of age on delivery, and the person accepting the parcel must be 18 or over.

Alcohol-Free Options

Not every gift needs to include alcohol. Alongside our wine, beer and spirit hampers we offer a wide range of alcohol-free gift hampers with gourmet food, sweets, tea, coffee and homewares, which are a thoughtful choice when you are unsure of the recipient's age or preferences. If you have a question about a specific hamper, our Geelong team is happy to help before you order.
