Valentines Day

VALENTINE’S DAY

Valentine’s Day is an international celebration of love, friendship, and admiration. It’s observed in virtually every country in the world, and it’s incredibly popular as an Australian custom. It takes place on February 14th every year, and it’s also considered a major commercial event. There are Valentine’s chocolates and gifts being sold, experiences being offered, and lots of flowers being imported across the world for people to use as an expression of their love and gratitude.

All About Valentines Day

For most of the western world, including Australia, Valentine’s Day is celebrated on the 14th of February.

Unfortunately, it is not considered an official public holiday in Australia. However, some businesses and groups do observe it as such and will book days off work or trips around this period of time.

Valentine’s Day is usually celebrated by romantic partners, lovers, and sometimes even families. It involves many different kinds of events, but the most common is getting together with friends, family, and partners, for a special day. This could be something romantic such as a dinner date, or it could be a getaway to another city or country. Some families celebrate Valentine’s Day together and opt to go on a trip together.

No matter how you decide to celebrate Valentine’s Day, think of your loved ones, friends, and family members.

Valentine’s Day was originally a Christian feast that honored Saint Valentine. As the tradition continued and the religious message faded, it became a commercial celebration of romance around the world.

This really depends on who the recipient is. Some people do nothing more than send a bouquet of flowers with a handwritten note, while others choose a box of chocolates to express their love. Some people like to send printed cards, while others may send emails and fun messages over the internet to distant loved ones.

Of course we recommend a gift hamper full of gourmet items!
